INTRODUCING
Award-winning infrared therapy products
Infrared products for horses and riders

How can Infrared therapy help you and your horse?
Far infrared radiation is a natural process and is scientifically proven to gently and safely assist blood circulation. Helping to support healthy joints, soft tissue, maintain healthy blood flow, ease muscle tension, support recovery and aid in helping keep structures and functions sound.

Why Use Protechmasta?

Money Saving Tips
Boost circulation with Protechmasta Far Infrared technology. Improved blood flow provides optimum levels of oxygen to the muscles to help prevent fatigue and perform stronger for longer.

Helps maintain healthy joints
Protechmasta helps decrease joint stiffness, pain and muscle spasms and reduces inflamation and the build-up of fluid in tissues (oedema).

Helps ease muscle tension
The heat generated from the increased blood flow makes connective tissue more flexible as it's extensibillity will increase, allowing for improved suppleness and prevention of injury

Aids recovery
Protechmasta products are great to use after exercise to assist your horse’s circulation and aid the cool down process. The range is also beneficial to support recovery or whilst on box rest.

Helps ease swollen or filled legs
A boost of blood flow around the body brings nutrients and fuel to cells and also takes away toxins, dead cells, and other unwanted debris which will help to reduce inflammation.

Aids relaxation
Reduce sweating and reduce the potential for heat stress, all of which are known to be performance prohibitors.
Combining technical fabrics with Far Infrared technology, the Protechmasta range is designed to be versatile and practical.

Prepare 55%

Toledo gets hot and excited on the lorry through nervous anticipation. We’ve tried loads of different rugs but it is Protechmasta that has seriously helped.

Clinical Trials: What the experts say
Sandie Chambers has studied both Human and Equine sports science. Having spent almost her entire career in Equine sports and as seasoned Equestrian, places Sandie at the top in Equestrian Fitness and Performance.
Sandie has managed some of Europe's leading Equine & Leisure facilities and having trained horses for several International Show Jumpers and Dressage riders, has built up an impressive record and reputation for achieving exceptional results with clients and equines from all sorts of competitive and noncompetitive backgrounds.
Findings from an independent clinical trial conducted by Sandie Chambers from Equitherm

Reduced and restored heart rate
Pre-exercise resting heart rate reduced – nown to relieve pre-exercise and competition stress and general anxiety.
Post-exercise heart rate restored to resting rate quicker – showing significantly improved recovery rates, a sign of reduced exercise stress.

Inflamation reduced
Inflammation reduced even after 30 minutes– promoting improved circulation, therefore, minimising the risk for injury and improved vascular health.

Temperature stabilised
Skin surface temperature stabilised pre and post-exercise – which will help regulate temperature, reduce sweating and reduce the potential for heat stress, all of which are known to be performance prohibitors.
Frequently Asked Questions
A: Far Infrared Technology - A naturalistic ceramic infused lining that emits a safe form of Far Infrared radiation, also known as Biogenetic Radiation, to the body, this is then reflected from the body creating a natural black body effect. Far infrared radiation is a natural process and is scientifically proven to assist blood circulation gently and safely, therefore, helping to reduce any swelling, ease muscle tension and support recovery and help in the prevention of injury.
*A black body is an object or organism (in this case the horse) that absorbs all FIR radiation that is placed upon it, (in this case the Far Infrared Radiating ceramics infused into the lining of the Protechmasta Rug.) It then reflects this radiation back at the same frequency that has been generated by the initiating blackbody the horse *
A: Better results can be achieved when Protechmasta is in direct contact with the skin.
A: Yes, Protechmasta products are machine washable. We recommend washing at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle and in a rug wash bag. Close all fastenings before washing. Please line dry naturally, do not tumble dry or iron.
A: We recommend that the Protechmasta products are introduced gradually to allow the body to adjust. For the first week use only for a maximum of four hours at a time, then introducing it for longer periods after a couple of weeks. For maximum results use as often as possible.
A: The Protechmasta rug unlike a thermal rug or everyday horse rug, is impregnated with a Bio-ceramic material. This Bio-ceramic material is a combination of varied ceramics and mineral oxides which are bound together and heated to 3000 degrees. Once the material is cooled it becomes Bio-ceramic, and emits Far Infrared Energy (FIR).
When Bio-ceramic material is impregnated into the fibres of the rug and placed next to the skin of the equine Far Infrared radiation is produced. The primary source of energy required to stimulate FIR emissions comes from the equine's body. The ceramic nanoparticles in the rug become ‘perfect absorbers’ maintaining their temperature at adequate levels then offering FIR back to the equine's body. This ensures there is a constant emission and absorption of FIR to the equines skin, regulating temperature and preventing the opportunity of overheating when applied in ambient temperatures up to 25 degrees.
